ABOUT THE COURSE
When we look in the mirror, we see our reflection. Similarly, all the organs in our body also have reflexes, which can be found throughout our body. However, there are certain areas where these reflexes are more easily located and easier to stimulate in order to achieve a specific effect in the “reflected” area.
Reflexology is a therapy based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet and hands that are related to all the organs, glands, and limbs of the body. By stimulating these reflexes using specific techniques, the reflexology therapist helps the body in its various homeostatic (balancing) processes.
This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary for anyone who wishes to pursue a career in natural and holistic health. With this training, you can start a solid career dedicated to helping others regain their physical, mental, and energetic balance in a natural, pleasant, and non-invasive way.
At the end of the course, trainees should be able to apply the various therapeutic techniques related to the practice of Integrated Reflexology.

Minimum age 18 years. Anyone interested in learning about holistic health, with or without prior knowledge in the field of health, health professionals who want to change or add to their approach to health, those looking for a new activity or a career change, and anyone who wants to improve their own health and personal development, as well as that of their family and friends.
Professional Exit
Reflexology therapists can work independently in the field of holistic health and wellness, in clinics and other healthcare facilities, spas, hotels, resorts, wellness and therapy centers, hair salons, beauty salons, and other locations.
Certificate from DGERT
At the end of the course, since IRIL is a training entity certified by DGERT - Directorate-General for Employment and Labor Relations, trainees who successfully complete the training will be awarded a certificate issued by SNQ - National Qualifications System, through SIGO - Information and Management System for Education and Training, as provided for in Ordinance No. 474 of 2010. This recognition also allows our students to present the investment made in our courses as a deductible expense on their IRS tax returns.

Sérgio De Luiggi
Sérgio was born in 1983 in São Paulo, Brazil. At the age of 5, he moved to Portugal, where he lived in Porto throughout his childhood and adolescence. He graduated in Podiatry from the Instituto Politécnico Saúde do Norte - ESSVS in 2005 and in 2006 he qualified as a Reflexology Therapist at the IRIEC - Instituto de Reflexologia de Emídio de Carvalho. In 2007, he founded IRIL - Instituto de Reflexologia Integrada de Lisboa (Lisbon Institute of Integrated Reflexology), with the aim of offering credible, high-quality training in the field of Reflexology. Continuing his passion for Reflexology, in 2008 he traveled to England to train at CSRI - Cranio-sacral Reflexology International with Dr. Martine Faure-Alderson. In 2010, he obtained a Master's degree in Posturology and Podoposturology from the University of Barcelona. He specialized in Effective Reflexology (2010-2014) with trainer Lee Taylor. In 2014, he graduated as an Osteopath from ITS.
